Join us for the 2018 RunAbout Mileage Challenge!
Run or walk 1000+ or 2018+ miles in 2018 and earn an award from RunAbout! There’s no cost to participate, just remember to update your mileage here! A few FAQs to note about the RunAbout Mileage Challenge:
- Wondering how you’re doing? Check in periodically to track your progress here!
- You can still join now and retroactively submit miles even if you’ve already missed recording a month.
- Don’t worry if you don’t see your name right away! The mileage totals will be updated roughly every two weeks.
- The red rows in the mileage chart give an indication of how many miles, based upon the length of the each respective month, you should run or walk to stay on track for your particular challenge.
Wednesdays, 2018 | Fun Run Pub Runs – RunAbout Sports Pub Runs will take place every Wednesday all year at 6pm. Earn the 100 Mile shirt and fame with your picture on our wall when you accumulate 100 miles. 200 miles earns the 200 mile glass! Once in awhile, we also have Wednesday Hills where you earn .50 miles for every hill you do, as well as periodic scavenger hunts for prizes. There is no cost so come join the fun! Blacksburg, VA
June 4 – End of July | Youth Track League – One practice and one meet per week at the Blacksburg High School track. Cost is $60.00 – scholarships are available. 95-120 kids take part each summer. Blacksburg, VA | REGISTRATION

August 18 | Eye Run 10k / 5k and Kids Run – Race #7 of the 2018 RunAbout Race Series. Pearisburg, VA
September 23 | 6th Annual Hokie Half Marathon and 5k – Race #8 of the 2018 RunAbout Race Series. NEW IN 2018: Hokie Half Marathon Children’s Challenge! Teachers, parents and other children group leaders can pick up the fun “course map” at RunAbout. Kids have until September 21st to complete 12.5 miles. Forms will be available August 10th. They can follow their progress on their course map that is broken up by 1/4 miles at school, home, etc. The last 976 meters (making it 13.1 miles) will take place at 11:30am at the VT Corporate Research Center and the kids will run the last part of the Hokie Half course and finish where all the runners had earlier.
